• Origin: Yunnan Simao District, China.


• About Pu erh Tea: Pu er is renowned for its medicinal qualities. Unlike other teas, it's quality and taste improve with age. Its taste is often described as earthy but some very well aged Pu erh produce cups of incredibly smooth and wonderfully complex.


• Product description: Yunnan green tuocha known in China as "raw" tuocha, prepared with extra care by using leaves from the improved broad-leaf tea species and it belongs to the series of top grade compressed green tea. The tea is of a bowl-shaped mass of leaves, regular in shape tightly-compressed, with shinny luster and strong scent. Its liquor looks bright yellow, taste refreshing and sweet in aftertaste.


• Health benefits: The Pu er tea is purported to reduce blood cholesterol. It is also widely believed in Chinese cultures to counteract the unpleasant effects of heavy alcohol consumption. In traditional Chinese medicine, the tea is believed to invigorate the spleen and the stomach. It also contributes to weight loss.


• Tea Storage: Keep the tea in a cool and dry place, sunlight will help to mature the tea. The longer it is stored the better the flavour and the more valuable it becomes!


• Tea Brewing: To prepare Pu er tea from tuocha, carefully pry out the desired amount leaves and place in a teapot. Rinse by covering with boiling water and quickly pour off. Cover with boiling water again and let steep one to two minutes (depending on how light or dark you want the tea) and serve. Pu erh tea can be steeped 10-20 times.
