Type of Chinese Tea: Herbal Tea
- History: Kuding tea leaves belong to Holly (Ilex). The tea was also known as a source of medicine in the ancient Chinese history. Its prominent popularity has earned itself a superior status amongst Chinese beverages and it was even presented to the emperor of ancient China as a royal tribute.
- Origin: Lianghe County, Yunnan Province, China.
- Dry leaves appearance: Tea leaves are large and have a deep green, rich appearance.
- Taste: Bitterness is the first impression. But gradually a lingering sweet after taste flatters the mouth after swallowing. A pure and exquisite taste that is unique even amongst Chinese teas.
- Liquor: Clear and greenish-yellow liquor has an excellent clarity. The liquor is light weighted in the mouth which is smooth and oily.
- Tea supplements: Tea contains multiple vitamins and minerals that are beneficial to your general wellbeing.
- Tea benefits: The kuding tea helps to prevent sunstroke, flu and dehydration. It's also useful in soothing a sore throat.
- Tea storage: Keep the tea in a cool and dry place, avoid direct sunlight.
- Tea brewing: Put 1-2 grams of dry tea leaves into a tea pot. Pour boiled spring or mineral water into the pot and drain the water immediately to wash the tea leaves. Fill the pot again and brew for three to five minutes, then serve.
