Type of Chinese Tea: Green Tea
- Origin: Fuding City, Fujian Province, China.
- Background: A very recent tea, Zhuyeqing was created in the early 1960s by a Monk from a famous Buddhist temple in China. The name was derived from its similar shape to a bamboo leaf with both ends pointed. The tea produces a clear light-green brew with very grassy undertones; a truly refreshing tea. Green tea originates from China and drinking green tea has become a part in most Chinese's daily life.
- Appearance and taste: Zhuyeqing tea leaves are flat, smooth and beautiful in appearance, glossy green in colour, and the flavour is fresh and sweet tasting with a hint of brisk bouquet in the aroma.
- Tea storage: Keep this loose green tea in a cool and dry place, avoiding direct sunlight.
- Green tea benefits: Drinking green tea has many benefits, include lowering high blood pressure and cholesterol level, preventing cavities, strengthening tooth enamel, fighting cancer, aiding digestion and are very effective for weight loss. You can even cook with green tea or use the leftover liquor to water your plants, and keep your cat's litter box fresh and pleasant smelling. - Tea brewing: Put 3-5g of tea leaves into a teapot. Steep them with mountain spring water or mineral water for two to three minutes, then serve.
