Type of Chinese Tea: Herbal Tea
- Origin: Kunming City Yunnan Province China.
- Product description: The Liquorice Tea selects wild liquorice roots which are sliced after baking. They look like a pile of wood chips and are soft enough to be chewed on. Usually when a bitter tasting herb is required, such as horehound, liquorice will effectively disguise the bitter taste.
- Taste: Tea has a sweet taste and the liquor has a faint yellowish hue.
- Tea benefits: The Liquorice Tea can detoxify and moisturise lungs and get rid of phlegm.
- Cautions: Taken excessively, liquorice can lower potassium levels to a dangerous level. Liquorice should be avoided be those with high blood pressure.
- Tea Storage: Keep the tea in a cool and dry place, avoid direct sunlight.
- Tea Brewing : Use 2-3 pieces of the liquorice root and brew with boiling water. Can be brewed with honeysuckle, chrysanthemum or other tea leaves in general.
