Type of Chinese Tea: Oolong Tea

• Product Description: Oolong tea is a traditional Chinese tea somewhere between green and black. Mainly because it is partially fermented ranging from 10-70% oxidation. It lacks the rosy, sweet aroma of black tea but it likewise does not have the stridently grassy vegetal notes that typify green tea. It is commonly brewed to be strong, with the bitterness leaving a sweet aftertaste. This organic oolong tea is selected from the organic tea garden in the unpolluted high-mountain area in Taiwan. The leaves are then made through a few delicate processes in order to produce the unique aroma and taste, before being rolled into pearl like shapes.


• Origin:Taiwan, China.


• Taste: This particular tea exceeds all expectations in colour, aroma, steep, and leaf quality. Lightly roasted and perfectly sweet, this oolong reveals itself over several steepings.


• Health benefits: Oolong teas are very effective for weight loss. Studies have confirmed that a 2-3 cup per day intake of oolong tea contributes to enhancing the function of fat metabolism and controlling obesity.


• Tea Storage: Keep the organic oolong tea in a cool and dry place, avoiding direct sunlight.


• Tea Brewing : Brew 2 teaspoons of leaves with hot water (80-90 degree) for three minutes. Tea can be steeped 3-4 times depending how your preference. Don’t throw out the leaves until they had completely given up!
