- About Pu erh Tea: Puerh is renowned for its medicinal qualities. Unlike other teas, Pu erh's quality and taste improve with age. Its taste is often described as earthy but some very well aged Pu erh produce cups of incredibly smooth and wonderfully complex.
- Product description: This raw Puerh cake is blended with tea material that was fermented in 2003, so the cake does not have fermented taste, the mellow liquor of this Pu erh is thick and heavy with a sweet and pleasant woody aftertaste.
- Health benefits: The Pu erh tea is purported to reduce blood cholesterol. It is also widely believed in Chinese cultures to counteract the unpleasant effects of heavy alcohol consumption. In traditional Chinese medicine, the tea is believed to invigorate the spleen and the stomach. It also contributes to weight loss.
- Tea Storage: Keep the tea in a cool and dry place, sunlight will help to mature the tea. The longer it is stored the better the flavour and the more valuable it becomes!
- Tea Brewing: To prepare Pu erh tea from cakes, carefully pry out the desired amount leaves and place in a teapot. Rinse by covering with boiling water and quickly pour off. Cover with boiling water again and let steep one to two minutes (depending on how light or dark you want the tea) and serve. Puerh tea can be steeped 10-20 times.
