Green teas are greenish in colour with a touch of yellow. These teas have a smoky flavour that stays close to the surface of the tea. To smell Green Tea you have to bring the cup right up to your nose. Green teas also have a fresh, outdoors smell like the scent of early morning mist or damp grass when it has rained. It has a weak, grassy kind of taste that is quite persistent in your mouth and leaves a roughness on your tongue, rather like when you eat a raw olive.
